Brenda Harris

Brenda Harris is both an artist and interior stylist and has a background in textile and design. A full time artist for the last thirty years, she paints in oil and acrylic – her work is instantly recognisable by the rich opulence of her colour palette and the almost palpable sensation of light that illuminates each canvas.

Harris’s palette is rich with glowing shades of gold, orange, and deep purple.  The luscious colours drawing us into a world that both comforts and nurtures.  The richness of hue and generosity of scale urges us to join her on our own quest for joy.

The colour and creativity in her work reflects her time spent living and working between Collioure in the South of France and Ardmore, Co. Waterford. Her inspiration spring from these different environments in which she finds herself, absorbing all the sensations of differing landscapes, interiors, light and cultures.

Harris’s paintings have featured on numerous TV programs in Ireland, US and UK, where she exhibits her work in both solo and group shows.  Her work hangs in private and corporate collections in Ireland, US, UK, Germany, France and the Middle East. She regularly hosts workshops and tutorials both in Ireland and France.
